FrontPageTech has been building up a rep for getting rather accurate info on unannounced products, so it stands to reason that they could be right about this as well. The previous report claimed that the phone would launch on the 13th of September, and while that is still a possibility, this new report contradicts it.
That being said, the publication’s claim of a 28th of October launch is for when the phone will actually be available for purchase, as in a market launch. They claim that pre-orders are expected to go live on the 19th of October, followed by availability on the 28th of October. This means that the phone will most likely be announced before then.
When exactly is unclear, but assuming the 19th of October pre-order date is true, chances are we are looking at an early October announcement, but do take all of this with a healthy serving of salt for now until we can get an official confirmation from Google.
