So far, the iPhone has topped out at 512GB of storage, but according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he has made the prediction in which come September 14 during Apple’s iPhone 13 event, the company will most likely introduce a new storage tier which will bump the iPhone’s max storage to a whopping 1TB.
Android phones have long been able to support 1TB thanks to their support for microSD card expansion, but since the iPhones don’t, they’ve had to rely on built-in storage. This is actually not the first time we’re hearing rumors about a 1TB iPhone, but it remains to be seen if these predictions will come true.
Also, given how expensive Apple’s iPhones are (not taking into account TSMC’s price hike), we’d hate to think how much a 1TB iPhone could cost, especially if it is going to be an option for the top-of-the-line iPhone 13 Pro Max.
