According to EA, “The first of these begins Autumn 2021, and will only be available on Android devices. As we continue with testing, we’ll expand the size of these tests, add new regions. When we’re ready to go broader, we’ll launch a page that allows you to pre-register for the game and sign up for news about future play tests.”
The company does not mention when they will be expanding to other regions except to say that they eventually will, so for those living outside of those two countries, you’re out of luck for now. It also appears to be only available for Android, so iOS users in Indonesia and the Philippines will have to wait.
As part of the FAQ, EA revealed more information about the upcoming game, such as how it will be free-to-play with in-app purchases for cosmetic items. It will also feature its own Battle Passes and that it will not be cross-playable with any of the Battlefield titles for PC or console. The full release is expected in 2022 but no specific dates have been mentioned yet.
