According to Microsoft, “Today, we are thrilled to announce Windows 11 will start to become available on October 5, 2021. On this day, the free upgrade to Windows 11 will begin rolling out to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11 will start to become available for purchase. A new Windows experience, Windows 11 is designed to bring you closer to what you love.”
That being said, it should be noted that availability will be done in phases. This means that the rollout of the upgrade will begin on the 5th of October, but not all PCs might receive it on that day itself. However, Microsoft expects that eligible devices will all receive their upgrade by mid-2022.
Also, keep in mind that support for Android apps will not be available at the start, but it will eventually arrive. Microsoft had recently announced that they would be making some changes to the CPU requirements, although keep in mind that devices that don’t have compatible CPUs will not be eligible for updates.
