The good news is that this could change with the Pixel 6. According to a report from 91mobiles, their source shared that apparently a lot of 33W chargers have been spotted at Google’s headquarters. This led to the speculation that this could be used to test with the Pixel 6, although they also note that these charging units are being taken back as they will not be included with the phone.
This is similar to what we had heard previously where it was rumored that Google might not include a charger with the Pixel 6, something that companies like Apple and Samsung have already done. This means that users who want 33W charging will need to buy a separate charger themselves, which presumably will also be sold by Google.
Right now there is no word on when the Pixel 6 series will be officially announced, but we expect that we should hear more about it in the coming months.
