But what about their more powerful Macs? Will Apple be able to meet their deadline? According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, yes they will, but it will be close. In the latest issue of his Power On newsletter, Gurman claims that Apple is expected to make the full transition over to Apple Silicon by November 2022.
Gurman claims that this roadmap will also include the Mac Pro, which was recently rumored to continue using Intel processors. It is possible that maybe the Mac Pro could be offered in two configurations, but that’s just speculation on our end. Right now, Apple is rumored to be working on a MacBook Pro refresh for later this year that will see the company launch new 14-inch and 16-inch models powered by the rumored M1X.
Once that’s done, all that remains is the 27-inch iMac and the Mac Pro, as everything else has since been updated to the M1 chipset.
