In the future, your Windows 11 computers will be ready to start gaming right out of the gate. This is because when Microsoft announced Windows 11, they also announced that one of the features of Windows 11 would be that it would come with Xbox Game Pass built into it, so if you’re already subbed, you can start playing your games almost immediately.

For those unfamiliar, Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service similar to other services like Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass. For a fixed monthly subscription, gamers will be able to access a bunch of games from a library and play to their heart’s content, kind of like what you do for services such as Netflix.

According to Microsoft, “Game Pass for PC includes PC games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda the day they launch, an EA Play membership at no additional cost with Game Pass for PC or Ultimate, and a great selection of titles from partner developers big and small with more entering the library all the time.”

Do note that Xbox Game Pass is different from that of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that comes with additional features such as game streaming from the cloud and also Xbox Live Gold, but it still might be worth looking into anyway.
