Back in 2019, Nintendo confirmed that they were working on a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, apart from confirming the game’s existence, not much else is known about it and when we can expect to see it released, at least until now where during a Nintendo Direct stream, the company confirmed it will be coming in 2022.
There is still no official title yet to the game, so for now it has been simply referred to as the sequel to Breath of the Wild, but we do know that it will be coming in 2022 and that a teaser trailer for the game has been released.
From what we can tell from the trailer, it looks like the graphics of the game will be kept the same as its predecessor, so for those who might have been hoping for souped up graphics that might hint at the Nintendo Switch Pro, you might be disappointed.
Of course, this isn’t to say that the console doesn’t exist, but as far as the trailer is concerned, we aren’t given any clues. It’s actually interesting to see a sequel to Breath of the Wild. This is because usually The Legend of Zelda games feel like one-off titles, but at the same time given the massive success that Breath of the Wild had when it launched on the Switch, it’s not surprising that Nintendo would want to build off that.
