Samsung has a lineup of gaming monitors that’s part of their Odyssey series. Some of the models we’ve seen in the past include ultrawide curved displays that are honestly pretty cool, but at the same time, not everyone wants or needs such a massive display. If you’re after something a bit more “traditional”, you’re in luck.

This is because Samsung has recently taken the wraps off their latest additions to the Odyssey lineup and what’s notable is that these new displays are flat. If you’re not a fan or don’t see the need for massive curved displays, then maybe there could be something for you here. This includes new G3, G5, and G7 models that cater to different budgets and needs.

For example, the G3 models come in 24-inch and 27-inch options and feature 1080p resolution, which is a bit low, but it makes up for it with 144Hz refresh rates, 1ms response time, and support for AMD’s FreeSync Premium. They are also relatively affordable at $220 and $250 respectively.

There is also the G5 which comes with a 27-inch QHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time, and also support for NVIDIA’s G-SYNC/AMD’s FreeSync Premium. Moving up the list are the new G7 monitors which will be using IPS instead of QLED, which should also make them a bit more affordable.

These monitors will offer 4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, wide 178-degree viewing angles, 1ms response times, VESA HDR400 support, and will also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC. There is no word on how much the new G5 or G7 models will cost yet.
