Chrome 91 is the latest update to Google’s Chrome browser and was released a few weeks ago. However, it seems that since its release, it has been discovered that there is a zero-day vulnerability that could spell bad news for Chrome users if it was exploited. However, Google has since released a patch that will bring it up to 91.0.4472.101 that will deal with the vulnerability, so you most definitely need to update your browser now to avoid it.
Now, usually Google will update Chrome on your behalf where when you launch it, it checks for updates and then downloads that update, so the next time you close and reopen the browser, it should be updated. However, if you can’t wait, you can always choose to manually pull the update by following our guide on how to manually update Chrome.
Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like there are reports of the vulnerability being exploited in the wild, so that’s good news, but you should still update your browser all the same.
