This means that if you wanted Disappearing Messages enabled for all your chats, you’d have to do it one by one, which can be incredibly tedious and time-consuming. However, according to WABetaInfo, they have discovered that WhatsApp is working on expanding the feature where it will be called Disappearing Mode.
This is under the Privacy settings of WhatsApp and when enabled, it will apply to all new chats, not just specific ones. This will make it a lot more convenient for users who want to ensure a greater degree of privacy. WhatsApp already supports end-to-end encryption that prevents messages from being read even if they are intercepted, but this will add an extra layer in the event someone gets their hands on your phone.
There is currently no word on when the feature will be released but given that it made an appearance in the beta, hopefully it won’t be too long.
