This will be the first wearable from Samsung to use Google’s Wear OS platform, and according to SamMobile, they have heard that it won’t be the Wear OS that you might have seen from other smartwatches. Instead, Samsung is expected to throw on their own skin on it in the form of One UI 3.x. This is said to be an entirely new version of One UI, but we have no idea how it will look like, at least for now.
Now as some of you might have heard, there were rumors earlier this year that claimed that Samsung could be bringing a non-invasive method of measuring blood sugar levels to its next smartwatch, but now the reports claim that will no longer be happening, at least for this particular model.
If that is the case, we have to wonder if the Apple Watch will be similarly affected as well, or if Apple’s solution might be something different that they feel could work better. In any case, there is no word on when the Galaxy Watch 4 will be announced, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it took place at Samsung’s rumored event in August where they are expected to launch their new foldable phones.
