According to leakster Jon Prosser, he claims that he can “confirm” that the new MacBook Pro will be making an appearance at WWDC 2021. This was initially reported by AppleTrack who took a closer look at the invite to WWDC and noticed that in the reflection of the glasses in one of the character’s eyes is the unicode to a laptop, which led to speculation of a new MacBook Pro.

Prosser’s tweet basically confirms the speculation, but we can’t be sure until the event happens. It is a bit odd though because WWDC for many years now has been primarily software focused. Apple did use WWDC to announce its iPhones in the past, but that changed later on, so it is a bit suspect that Apple would use the event to launch new hardware.
However, it’s not entirely impossible and Apple is free to plan their events however they want. If the rumors are true, then it would be rather exciting given that this is the first redesign to the MacBook Pro in quite a long time.
