The report claims that the murder suspect had spotted his victim at a mall where he was seen buying items from expensive stores. He then attached the iPhone to the victim’s car where later along with another accomplice, they crashed a party the victim was at and demanded their valuables as well as the key to the car, a Lexus.
During the home invasion, that’s when the victim was shot dead. Even though the car was stolen, it was later eventually found where according to the tow truck driver, there was a nylon bag stuffed with magnets containing an iPhone that was stuck to the undercarriage of the car, which was presumably used to track the victim down.
The murder suspect was later arrested and is now facing charges of home invasion robbery with a mask and firearm, first-degree murder with a firearm, carjacking with a firearm and grand theft.
