Apple is expected to eventually transition its entire Mac lineup to its Apple Silicon processors. Right now, we’ve seen this applied to the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and the iMac, which means that the only computer that’s left would be the Mac Pro. We have heard that Apple is working on a pretty powerful Apple Silicon for a future Mac Pro, but what about the design?
Thanks to the use of the SoC design, on paper it means that Apple could create a smaller Mac Pro. Designer Róbert Hallon over at Svetapple.sk has since thrown together concept renders that show what a smaller Mac Pro could look like. Based on the images, it seems that he took inspiration from the current Mac Pro’s design with the cheese grater holes and the handlebars.
Hallon also based the design off the rumors, such as the size in which leakster Jon Prosser had claimed that it would be roughly around the size of three Mac mini computers stacked on top of each other. Of course, we can’t be sure if this is the actual design Apple is going for or if they will be designing something completely new, so keep that in mind when you’re looking at the renders.
That being said, do not expect Apple to launch the new Mac Pros anytime soon. Last we heard, Apple is planning a launch for the Mac Pro in 2022, so there is still some time to go before we get to see what Apple has up their sleeves.
