New Sony APS-C Camera Rumored For May

If Sony’s higher-end full frame mirrorless cameras aren’t for you, whether it is out of your budget or if you don’t need or don’t want a full frame camera, then you could be in luck. This is because a report from Sony Alpha Rumors claims that come May 2021, Sony could unveil a new APS-C camera.

Sony’s APS-C cameras have actually been doing very well amongst those who don’t need a full frame camera, and also amongst streamers as the A6000 series is actually a relatively affordable camera for the quality you get. In fact, the report claims that the upcoming camera could actually be the successor to the Sony A6600.

It will be a higher-end E-mount camera which means that it won’t exactly be a budget-friendly camera, but it should still be more affordable than the A7 and A9 series. The specs of the rumored successor is unknown for now, but the publication claims that they should be able to get their hands on those details soon enough.

They did, however, reveal that the body of the camera will sport small changes and tweaks, while the sensor will be a new one that could be around 30MP. Either way, as we approach the end of April, we shouldn’t have to wait too long for an official announcement.
