This is obviously less than ideal, but the good news for Sony PlayStation Now gamers is that it looks like the company is upgrading its streams. The company has announced that they have started to roll out support for 1080p games. The company notes that they have begun rolling out support for 1080p games and will continue to roll it out to other countries and regions over the coming weeks.
PlayStation Now will begin rolling out support for streaming 1080p capable games this week.

It’s an interesting choice of wording because it would suggest that not all games will support 1080p streaming, so it remains to be seen which games will be given the 1080p treatment. It is possible that Sony could be planning on adding support in stages, but for now it seems like only select titles will be able to take advantage of the higher resolution.
We’re not sure why Sony has taken this long to introduce 1080p support. Other services such as Amazon’s Luna have already supported 1080p, while Google’s Stadia can even go up to 4K, but either way we suppose it is better late than never.
