For those who have been looking forward to the update, you’ll be pleased to learn that it is officially here and has been released about a week after Apple’s Spring Loaded event. For those who are unfamiliar, Apple has described the feature by saying, “App Tracking Transparency requires apps to get the user’s permission before tracking their data across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising, or sharing their data with data brokers.”
“Apps can prompt users for permission, and in Settings, users will be able to see which apps have requested permission to track so they can make changes to their choice at any time.” In addition to app tracking transparency, the update will also bring about a new and cool feature that lets you unlock your iPhone by using your Apple Watch if you’re wearing a mask.
There are also a bunch of new emojis, new Apple Maps features that lets you report incidents, improvements made to 5G, bug fixes, and more.
