Browser extensions are incredibly useful and can improve the web browsing experience as a whole. However, sometimes some of these extensions can cause issues with our browsing, like pages not loading properly or not loading at all. Unfortunately for Google Docs and Sheets users, they are experiencing issues with ad blocker extensions.
According to reports from Reddit and Twitter, it seems that some users who are using ad blocker extensions are experiencing weird formatting and layout issues when typing up documents in Docs or Sheets. As you can see in the image above, instead of the text wrapping properly, it seems to disappear off screen.
In some cases, text seems to be overlapping each other making them completely unreadable. Some users have found that disabling their ad blocker extensions have solved the problem, but we can’t say with certainty that it is only the ad blocker that is causing the problem. Some have pointed out that other extensions that can modify page content could also be to blame.
Since users all have different combinations of extensions that they use, it’s hard to pinpoint the problem. Either way, if you are experiencing something similar, then it might be a good idea to disable your extensions and go through them one by one to see what could be the problem.
