CES 2022 Will Be Returning As An In-Person Event

We know it’s still relatively early to be discussing CES 2022, but for those who missed the in-person event, you’ll be pleased to learn that the organizers behind CES have announced that for 2022, they will be returning to an in-person event format, but there will also be a digital format for those who might prefer to stay home.

While CES 2021 was held this year, it was held in a digital format. This is due to the pandemic which forced many companies back in 2020 to rethink their live events. Many have since turned to pre-recorded streams, and some companies like Apple have had great success with theirs. Others, such as Google, opted to skip 2020’s events, but the company will be hosting I/O 2021 soon.

According to the organizers of CES, “CTA will be reviewing guidelines for coronavirus safety measures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to state and local guidelines. CTA will be following applicable federal, state and local laws, adapting CES plans accordingly and sharing updates with its audiences.”

That being said, while the return to in-person events will restore some semblance of normalcy, we have to wonder how many people will actually attend. Right now, vaccines are being rolled out around the world which should make things a bit safer, but we imagine that there are probably some who might still feel a bit uncomfortable in large crowds.
