Prosser, who recently admitted that he was wrong with the March event, revealed that this time, the information came from his “good good” source, suggesting that it could be real. However, we can’t say we’re surprised at this news. This is because Prosser’s information corroborates an earlier report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who stated that the AirPods 3 will only launch in the second half of 2021.
While there’s no way to know for sure if either of these reports are accurate, at the very least they do seem to corroborate each other’s claims. That being said, we are a bit confused about Apple’s plans for their AirPods series. There have been rumors suggesting that Apple could be developing an AirPods Lite, which is supposed to be the in-between for the AirPods and AirPods Pro.
We haven’t really heard much about that model for a while, which has us wondering if maybe the rumors were wrong in the first place. Either way, hopefully the April event is real and we will have more information to share then.
