Disney has announced that Black Widow will be released on its Disney+ streaming platform the same time it is released in the cinemas, which is the 9th of July. However, for those who wish to watch on Disney+, you will have to pay for Premier Access which will cost you an extra $30. It will eventually be available for free for all Disney+ subscribers, but for those who can’t wait, you’ll have to pay a premium for it.

That being said, if you have a family that you normally go to the movies with, $30 is a pretty decent price tag if you split it 3-4 ways. However, if you’re watching alone, $30 can be a bit of a tough pill to swallow for a single movie, so you’ll have to decide whether or not it will be worth the premium just to watch it the same time as everyone else.
Disney has been using this method for some of its movies, like with Mulan and Raya and the Last Dragon. It might be too early to tell if this method is working for Disney, so only time will tell if this is a method that Disney could stick with in the future moving forwards.
