120Hz ProMotion Display Once Again Rumored For The iPhone 13

While Android phones are busy packing their displays with refresh rates of at least 90Hz or better, for some reason Apple hasn’t gotten around to doing the same for the iPhone. However, a report from Max Weinbach of EverythingApplePro believes that this year, the iPhone 13 could finally come with such a display.

It’s actually interesting that it’s taken Apple this long. The company was one of the early few companies to introduce higher refresh rates in its mobile products starting with the iPad Pro, so it’s not as if it’s impossible. There were rumors that Apple was considering introducing a similar feature to the iPhone 12 back in 2020, and there was evidence to suggest that, but apparently the company ultimately decided against it.

We’re not sure why Apple is only finally making that decision now, but it’s still good news for those who are planning on upgrading. We’re not sure if Apple plans to only offer for the higher-end models or if all iPhone models will be eligible for this feature, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they will make it exclusive to the “Pro” models, like how only the iPad Pro lineup comes with the 120Hz display.

In addition to the 120Hz ProMotion display, Weinbach’s report had also recently claimed that the iPhone 13 could come with an always-on display that would display indicators for the clock and battery.
