As you can see from the photo, this device is more of a tablet rather than a traditional laptop in terms of design, but it seems that it will come with a keyboard (included in the box) that lets users transform it into a laptop-like device. It also appears that one of its selling points is a stylus that is integrated into the tablet, giving users a place to stow the pen away when not in use.
As for the specs, based on the listing the ASUS Chromebook Flip CM3000 will come with a MediaTek MT8183 chipset that’s accompanied by 4GB of RAM, a 10.5-inch 1920×1200 display, a 2MP webcam on the front, an 8MP rear-facing camera, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, a 27Wh battery, and 128GB of eMMC storage.
It’s not necessarily the most powerful Chromebook we’ve come across in recent times, but the tablet form factor with the detachable keyboard and the included stylus does make it somewhat compelling. As for pricing, its listing suggests that it could be priced around $540. ASUS has yet to officially announce anything yet regarding availability, so we’ll have to wait and see.
