Apple’s products tend to go for a more monochromatic look. This has helped their products stay relevant in terms of design for long periods of time, but some have criticized it as being a bit boring and drab. However, the good news is that Apple could be looking to bring some of their old design languages back.
A recent video by Jon Prosser of FrontPageTech has suggested that for the 2021 redesigned iMac, Apple could actually be making the computer available in a multitude of colors. According to Prosser, there will be five different color options for users to choose from which he has rendered together with @conceptcreator as you can see in the image above.
We’re not sure if these colors will be the exact shade/finish that Apple will launch, but it is definitely very interesting. Over the years, Apple has slowly adopted more colorful designs and it seems that they will now be extending that to its iMacs. It is also a nod to the earlier days of Apple when the iMac G3 was launched which was available in various colors and became one of Apple’s signature designs.
The rumored iMac redesign is also said to take some design cues from the newer iPad Pros, where it will sport flatter edges and could get rid of that massive chin and the hump on the back.
