Apparently this May date is earlier than what was previously expected, but that might not necessarily be a bad thing, especially for those who are eager to adopt foldable phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is also rumored to support the S Pen, but whether or not it will come with a slot to store the pen remains to be seen.
Samsung recently introduced S Pen support to the Galaxy S21, but the accessory was sold separately and there is no slot to store the stylus when not in use, unlike the Note series. That being said, not much else is known about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 at this point in time and what kind of chipset the phone will be using.
This is because Samsung had previously confirmed that we should be able to look forward to future chipsets using AMD’s GPU, but the current Exynos 2100 uses a different GPU, so it is unclear whether or not we’ll be getting a new chipset or a variant of the Exynos 2100. Either way, if the May 2021 launch date is true, we should have more details in the coming months.
