A door’s peephole is good and useful if you’re home and someone rings your doorbell. But what if you’re not home? That’s where smart doorbells can come in handy, and Ring is a company that comes to mind when it comes to such products, but we get it, it can be a bit expensive to set it up.
However, the good news is that Ring has since announced their latest smart doorbell – the Ring Video Doorbell Wired. This is the company’s smallest and cheapest smart doorbell to date where it is priced at $60, making it $40 cheaper than the regular Ring Video Doorbell which the company refreshed back in 2020.
However, the reason why it might be cheaper is because it is a wired setup. This means that you need to have your home wired up already for this to work, if not you might need to call in an electrician to get you sorted, which could end up costing more. However, the upside to having a wired system is that it can run nonstop and you don’t have to worry about batteries.
It comes with the usual assortment of features you might expect from such a device, like 1080p video, motion detection, Alexa compatibility, two-way talking, and more. If this sounds like something you could get on board with, the Ring Video Doorbell Wired is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and is expected to be released on the 24th of February.
