For GoPro users, you might be pleased to learn that GoPro Labs has announced a bunch of new features for compatible GoPro cameras that should help improve the overall user experience. This includes features like camera motion triggers that utilizes the camera’s built-in sensors to start/stop capturing footage.
There will also now be support for USB power triggers, like when you use the GoPro as a dashcam. There will also be improvements made to motion detection, creation of QR codes for a simplified live streaming session, one-button mode, new exposure modes, and more. Right now, the firmware update will be compatible with the GoPro HERO9 Black, the HERO8 Black, the HERO7 Black, and the GoPro Max.
For those who own other GoPro cameras, it seems that at least for now, you’re out of luck. For more details or to download the update, you can head on over to the GoPro Labs’ website.
