According to ASUS, the reason for the price hike is due to various factors, such as the increasing cost of components, logistics, and operations. The company also claimed that they have tried to keep their prices down for as long and for as much as they could, but it seems that they could only do so much.
It is unclear if other component manufacturers will also increase their prices, but to ASUS’ credit, at least they’re forthcoming about it, even though it might not necessarily be the kind of news that their customers want to hear. We’re also not sure if these price changes are going into effect straightaway, but if you are planning on putting together a new build, then you might want to move quickly as we can only assume that existing stock will continue to keep its old prices, while newer stock might reflect the price changes.
