However, it seems that ultimately, customers ended up choosing other devices instead. So much so that apparently, Apple is scaling back on the production of the iPhone 12 mini. The reports are claiming that Apple has cut production by about 2 million units and has instead shifted those 2 million units to the iPhone 12 Pro, presumably because it seems to be selling better.
According to the figures, the iPhone 12 mini is kind of a flop where it only accounted for 6% of all sales out of the iPhone 12 lineup that was launched last year. This is kind of dismal and suggests that maybe Apple might have missed the mark with it. While the phone does have its pros, some of its cons include a terrible battery life.
We’re not sure if based on these figures if Apple plans on carrying on with the “mini” lineup for the iPhone 13 this year, but what do you think? Was there a reason you might have chosen the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max over the iPhone 12 mini?
