Are you looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S21? If you are, you might not have to wait too long for the official details because according to a report from Android Authority, it has been confirmed that the handset will be launching on the 14th of January, 2021, which is in line with the rumors that suggested a January 2021 launch date.

According to Android Authority, they confirmed the date with Samsung’s largest mobile experience store in India. Given that stores are expected to know when they should receive stock for new products, it stands to reason that this information could be accurate, although it would be nice to see an official invite being sent out by Samsung to be extra certain.

That being said, it is an interesting choice of date because CES 2021 ends on the 14th of January 2021, so it is possible that Samsung is choosing to wait for all the bluster surrounding CES to subside a bit before they launch their next flagship smartphone.

Also, while Samsung’s flagships are always something to look forward to, the Galaxy S21 could be rather interesting as we’re hearing that Samsung could finally bring S Pen support to the handset. This is on the heels of the rumors that Samsung could actually kill off its Note series next year, and obviously they would need a new home for the S Pen and the Galaxy S21 could be it.
