The company has announced that they want to make its own plant-based “meat”. Speaking to USA Today, the company’s international president Ian Borden said that they plan to to start testing its McPlant products in several markets next year. “In the future, McPlant could extend across a line of plant-based products including burgers, chicken-substitutes and breakfast sandwiches.”
McDonald’s also claims that its McPlant products “delivers our iconic taste in a sink-your-teeth-in (and wipe-your-mouth) kind of sandwich.
