If you have recently placed an order on Amazon, don’t be surprised if it shows up at your home in a Mario-themed box, and no, there is a good chance that your order was not mixed up with someone else’s order. This is because this is due to a collaboration with Amazon and Nintendo as part of Mario’s 35th anniversary celebration.
So how does one get a Mario-themed box? It turns out that it will be completely random, and it also seems that ordering a Nintendo product, like a Nintendo Switch, will not guarantee you a Mario-themed box. Note that these boxes are limited edition, so don’t be so quick to toss it away as it could eventually become a collector’s item.
It’s actually a pretty cool idea and we have to say that in renders, the box looks pretty awesome. Hopefully whoever makes the delivery will be careful not to toss them and damage them in the process. We’re not sure how long this collaboration will last, but Nintendo notes that it will be available while supplies last, although given the number of products Amazon ships out on a daily basis, we imagine it probably won’t take too long before they run out of them.
With Black Friday and the holiday season coming up, maybe now might be a good time to start placing your orders on Amazon and hope that you nab one of these rad-looking boxes.
