Alongside the Apple Silicon Mac computers that will be unveiled tomorrow, Apple has also been rumored to announce a new accessory called AirTags. Now thanks to a tweet by @choco_bit, it looks like the carrying case for the AirTags has been leaked in photos, suggesting that it will come in the form of a keychain.
In case you haven’t heard, AirTags are a tracking-like device similar to Tile in terms of concept and functionality, where users will be able to attach it to a various objects and use their devices, like an iPhone, and keep track of it so that they know if it leaves the area or if they’ve lost it and are trying to track it down.
Potentially AirTag carrying accessory in Saddle Brown.
Looks a lot like this previously reported patent, but take it with a bit of salt though since something similar is easily reproducible in China. pic.twitter.com/HHRi2p4Cyu

One of the alleged advantages of the AirTags over Tile is that it uses ultra wideband technology. This is said to allow for more precise tracking compared to regular Bluetooth, and is apparently one of the reasons why Apple has started to include the technology into its more recent iPhones starting with the iPhone 11 in 2019.
There is no word on how much the accessory will cost or what else it will be able to do, but if the rumors are true, we should have more details about it tomorrow, so check back with us then for more details.
