This is according to a report from DigiTimes who claims that pre-sales for the iPhone 12s offered by local telcos actually sold out in about 45 minutes. We should point out that it is unclear how many units the telcos had ordered or were allocated, so it’s hard to say if this is a resounding success.
Also, there are the orders taken directly by Apple, and we have no idea how well those will do, so maybe we shouldn’t get too excited just yet. However, what’s interesting about this is that according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, he had previously predicted that out of all the iPhone 12s that Apple would launch, the 6.1-inch models would prove to be the most popular.
However, like we said, it’s probably too early to tell how successful the new iPhones will be, but if these pre-orders are any indication, it looks like Apple could have another hit on their hands.
