DJI Ronin RS 2 and RSC 2 Camera Gimbals Announced

Back in August, DJI took the wraps off its smartphone gimbal in the form of the DJI Osmo Mobile 4. However, if you’d prefer using a dedicated camera to shoot your photos or videos and are still in the market for a gimbal, you’ll be pleased to learn that DJI has since announced a couple of new Ronin gimbals in the form of the RS 2 and the RSC 2.

The company had actually teased the launch of these gimbals last month, and it looks like they are finally here. So what’s the difference between the two models? Weight and portability. With the Ronin RS 2, this gimbal is aimed more towards users who might have heavier cameras or lens attachments.

The RS 2 can support cameras and lenses weighing up to 10lbs and offers up to 12 hours of battery life. As for the RSC 2, this is aimed at smaller cameras with payloads of up to 6.6lbs, so if your rig uses particularly heavy or big lenses, then perhaps the RS 2 will be the better choice. Similar to the RS 2, the RSC 2 will also offer up to 12 hours of battery life.

For those who are interested, the DJI Ronin RS 2 will be priced starting at $849 while the DJI Ronin RSC 2 will retail for $499, where additional accessories will be sold separately.
