That being said, Apple is preparing developers for it because according to the reports, the company is apparently sending out invites to developers to come for one-on-one lab workshops where Apple engineers are expected to give these developers guidance on how to develop and create apps and tools for Apple Silicon computers.
What’s interesting is the timing with these invites because according to the rumors, Apple is said to be planning an event mid-November where the company will officially announce their first wave of commercially available Apple Silicon Mac computers. The company has launched a developer transition kit which is essentially a Mac mini powered by the A12Z Bionic chipset, but these are only available on loan for developers, so it will be interesting to see what the consumer variants are.
Apple is expected to start off with laptops where they might revive the 12-inch MacBook as well as introduce an Apple Silicon MacBook Air, and the latest rumors claim that come 2021, we might be able to expect an Apple Silicon powered iMac as well.
