One Of Apple’s Most Affordable iPads Just Got An Upgrade

If you’re after an iPad with Apple Pencil support, you might have thought that maybe you would need to buy the iPad Pro. The good news is that if you’d rather not spend that much money, you’ll be pleased to learn that Apple has updated its iPad lineup (which previously already supported the Apple Pencil) with the 8th gen model that will introduce a bunch of hardware upgrades while keeping its price low.

The 8th gen iPad will be powered by Apple’s A12 Bionic chipset, which according to Apple will boast a 40% faster CPU compared to its predecessor, and will also offer a 2x jump in the graphics department, making the 8th gen iPad a more viable tablet for gaming, photo, or video editing while on the move.

In addition to its own hardware improvements, the new 8th gen iPad will also benefit from iPadOS 14 which comes with a host of improvements and new features. It will play nicely with various third-party keyboard accessories, while also playing nicely with Apple’s own official accessories like the Apple Pencil. The new 8th gen iPad is also one of Apple’s most affordable iPads to date. It is priced starting at $329, but if you’re a student, you’ll be able to pick up the tablet for yourself for a mere $299.
