The updates are rather substantial in size weighing in at over 2GB, but considering the host of changes and improvements, it doesn’t come as a surprise. iOS 14 will introduce brand new features such as widgets which can now be placed more front and center on the home screen itself.
Apple has also made some changes to how apps are stored where they are automatically sorted into what Apple is calling the App Library. This will allow users to have a much cleaner single-page home screen if they prefer. Apple has also made changes and improvements to user privacy, and there are also new features like App Clips that lets users temporarily use and access apps without necessarily having to download them.
There have also been changes made to Messages where users can now pin their favorite messages to the top, and so on. So if you haven’t updated your iPhone or iPad yet, what are you waiting for?
