If you’re thinking about buying a new laptop, you might want to hold off for just a bit. This is because Intel has recently announced its latest 11th gen Tiger Lake processors designed for laptops. According to the company, they are expected to find their way into laptops this coming fall, so like we said, it might be a good idea to hold off for a couple of months.

The new Intel Tiger Lake processors will be built on the 10nm process, but despite that, Intel claims that it will offer up noticeable performance improvements over the current 10th gen processors. For starters, it will apparently be 20% faster for office productivity tasks, twice as fast for gaming while streaming, and 2.7 times faster in content creation. They also feature clock speeds of up to 4.8GHz versus 4.0GHz on the 10th gen models.

As for whether or not you can use these new processors for gaming, the Tiger Lake CPUs will also come with Intel’s new integrated Xe graphics which boasts 96 CUs and clock speeds of up to 1.35GHz. The processors will also support Thunderbolt 4 along with WiFi 6, and also better battery life which is great news for those who are constantly on the go.

Like we said, Intel expects that these new CPUs will find their way to laptops this coming fall and have listed companies such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer, and Samsung, so do keep an eye out for these upgrades.
