By now, there’s a good chance that many of you would have finished playing through The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While you’re eagerly anticipating the sequel and would love more Zelda content, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nintendo has recently announced a new Zelda title.
This comes in the form of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The game won’t be developed by Nintendo and is instead made by Koei Tecmo, but it will be part of the Zelda franchise and universes, and will also act as a successor of sorts of the original Hyrule Warriors game that was released back in 2014.
Given its Hyrule Warriors designation, this won’t be your typical Zelda game. Instead, it will be more of a battling style game similar to Dynasty Warriors, except with the lore and characters that you have come to know from Zelda. The game will also act as a prequel of sorts as it is actually set about a 100 years before Breath of the Wild.
Age of Calamity is currently set for a release on the 20th of November, which means that you’ll be able to enjoy some new Zelda content this year. As for the Breath of the Wild sequel, it seems that gamers will have to wait a bit more for its release.
