So much so that Foone Turing has experimented with getting Doom to run on a pregnancy test. Yes, you read that right, the tinkerer somehow managed to get the game up and running on an electronic pregnancy test. Obviously it is a less than ideal way to play the game, but the fact that they managed to get the game up and running on the kit is impressive enough.
According to Foone Turning, the game is running a pregnancy kit made by Equate. This is a digital/electronic test kit that uses a tiny display to display pregnancy results. This is versus more traditional pregnancy kits that use a piece of paper and lines to indicate whether or not the person is pregnant.
Yesterday I had a lot of retweets and reddit posts and such for playing Doom on a pregnancy test.
But as I explained then, it wasn't really PLAYING on a pregnancy test, it was just a video being played back, not an interactive game.Well, now it is. It's Pregnancy Test Doom! pic.twitter.com/Nrjyq07EVv

That being said, some modifications obviously had to be made. According to Foone Turing, “This is a replacement display AND a replacement microcontroller. I’m not using any of the original tester other than the shell. The existing CPU can’t be reprogrammed and the existing LCD can only show 4 things, so I had to replace both to make any changes.”
