ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro Announced With A Flip-up Camera Design

Hate the camera notch we’re seeing in smartphones today? Not a fan of the popup camera design? If you’re a fan of neither, then you might be interested in checking out the ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro that was recently announced, a new flagship handset from ASUS that sports a flip-up camera design.

The Zenfone 7 Pro will feature a camera on the back of the phone that acts as both a rear-facing shooter as well as a front-facing shooter, thanks to its somewhat unique design that lets the camera flip upwards to the front. For those concerned about the durability of the design, ASUS claims that they have tested the device where it will be capable of achieving 100 flips a day over the course of 5 years, so it should last you well enough into the future.

The camera will feature a 64MP main sensor made by Sony and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. As for the hardware, ASUS is packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset under the hood and will be accompanied by a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There will also be 8GB of RAM along with 128GB or 256GB storage options, along with support for 5G.

The Zenfone 7 Pro also comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging that ASUS claims will go from 0 to 60% in a little over 30 minutes. The ASUS Zenfone 7 Pro will be priced at around $950, which isn’t exactly cheap, but it’s what we can expect from a flagship in this day and age.
