This is according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who claims that Apple will not be refreshing the design of the Apple Watch this year. Instead, Kuo believes that the main selling point of the Series 6 will be the inclusion of blood oxygen monitoring, and not the design. For those who might be more concerned about the design, Kuo claims that it will be 2021 at the earliest in which Apple will most likely introduce it.
That being said, to Apple’s credit, the Apple Watch’s design from generation to generation hasn’t deviated too greatly. With the Series 4, Apple made the screen slightly larger, but the overall form factor is still the same. If you were fine with the current design, then we imagine that the Series 6 should not be an issue.
We’re sure that some would much prefer if Apple introduces better battery life, but we’ll have to wait and see so check back with us in the next couple of hours for the official details about the Series 6.
