Despite Apple continuously releasing new Apple Watches, the company tends to keep some older models around to act as a cheaper alternative to the newer ones. This has come in the form of the Apple Watch Series 3 which is still around until today, but if the latest rumors are right, there could finally be a new model to replace the Series 3.
It is unclear why Apple doesn’t simply just replace the Series 3 with the Series 5, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The top-of-the-line model is rumored to come with features like blood oxygen monitoring, an ECG monitor, a heart rate sensor, and all the other trappings that one might expect from a wearable like this.
For now, the blood oxygen monitor feature is new while the rest are old. Apple would also not be the first to introduce such a feature as we’ve seen similar features introduced by the competition in the past, such as Samsung, so it will be interesting to see whose tool is more accurate.
