While DigiTimes does not exactly have the best track record when it comes to Apple-related rumors, we should point out that Apple’s March events from time to time do contain product refreshes, like to the iPad, so it wouldn’t exactly be completely out of the question for Apple to announce an iPad Pro refresh then.
Plus, if we take a look at how long it has been since the iPad Pro lineup was updated (more than a year ago), then it does seem like the time is ripe for the tablets to be updated. Not much is known about the updates, but presumably it will maintain the same screen size options and resolution, but it should get a performance boost with the use of the A13X chipset, a variant of the A13 Bionic found in last year’s iPhones.
Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt, but if you don’t need a new iPad Pro right now and can wait until March, then it might not be the worst idea to hold off on purchasing one for now so you can at least futureproof yourself for a bit.
