This video was shared on Twitter by leakster Ben Geskin, who has in the past been pretty accurate with his leaks. It shows that with iOS 14, Apple could adopt a different approach to multitasking on iPhones, although whether or not there will be any functional changes remains to be seen, or whether or not it is purely for aesthetic purposes.
However, Geskin does seem to note that it is possible for users to pin an app to the multitasking screen, although we’re not sure exactly for what kind of purposes. He was also unable to confirm if the iPhone could also be getting side-by-side Split View multitasking, a feature found on the iPad and something that many users have been asking for.

A more robust multitasking system is something iOS users have been asking for, and a feature that can be found on many Android devices. Maybe this new multitasking design could be a sign of things to come, but we’ll probably have to wait until WWDC 2020 for all the official details.
