Huawei MatePad Pro 5G Is A Powerful Tablet

Just when we thought that Android tablets are obsolete, Huawei has come up with an impressive iPad Pro competitor.

Of course, just because it’s an Android counterpart to Apple’s iPad Pro, some consider it as a clone to it – but that’s competition.

In this case, Huawei seems to be offering something unique here.

The key highlights include wireless charging, screen mirroring of a paired smartphone, and 5G connectivity.

Not just limited to wireless charging support but it also supports two-way charging (i.e reverse wireless charging as well).

For obvious reasons, it will be powered by the open-source Android – but without Google’s app and services.

The lack of Google apps/services will definitely be one of the deal-breaker for some but on the plus side, the tablet offers some pretty good specs on paper.

You also get to wirelessly charge the keyboard case that you can attach with it. The tablet also features the latest Huawei Kirin 990 processor along with a 7250 mAh battery.

The screen mirroring feature is only for supported EMUI devices. Originally spotted in their MateBook laptop, the MatePad is an extremely impressive alternative to iPad Pro considering that you’re not limited to the exclusive apps.

The pricing starts at €799 for the 5G model with 8 Gigs of RAM + 256 GB storage and increases up to €949 for 8 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The Wi-Fi-only models will be available for just €549 coupled with 6 Gigs of RAM and 128 GB of storage ranging up to €749 for the model with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
