AirPods Pro Lite Earbuds Could Be In The Works

Last year Apple launched the AirPods Pro. These are a pair of upgraded AirPods where it features active noise cancellation and also better sound quality. Now according to a new report from DigiTimes, it seems that Apple could be working on a new pair of earbuds in the form of the AirPods Pro Lite.

Unfortunately, apart from reporting that such a device exists, not much else is known about it as the report does not provide any details. However, generally speaking the term “Lite” suggests a cheaper model, but as MacRumors notes, the price difference between the wireless case version of the AirPods and AirPods Pro is only $50, it is unclear where the AirPods Pro might fit in the lineup.

There have been some rumors that have Apple could announce a new version of the AirPods this year, so it is possible that maybe the AirPods Pro Lite could be in reference to that particular model. However, we should note that DigiTimes doesn’t always have the best track record when it comes to Apple related rumors, so it’s probably best to take it with a grain of salt for now.

Apple is also rumored to host an event in March where the company could announce new products like the iPhone SE 2, so maybe more details about these AirPod Pro Lite earbuds could be revealed then.
