The report claims that the second iPhone SE 2 might actually be launched in the later part of the year, potentially alongside the 2020 flagship iPhones, which have been rumored to be notchless and feature an in-display Touch ID sensor.
Alternatively, it could also launch in 2021 which seems to be in line with an earlier rumor regarding an iPhone SE 2 Plus model. The report goes on to claim that the second iPhone SE 2 model could have a display between 5.5-inches to 6.1-inches, but other than that, we’re not sure what kind of specs the phone could be packing.
Needless to say that this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, especially given that DigiTimes’ track record for Apple-related rumors. However, we’ve seen a lot of interest in Apple’s more affordable iPhone lineup, so it makes sense that the company would want to introduce more affordable models to capture the lower-end market.
